Carpe Diem! Slowly but surely getting everything I purchased at the Makeup Show NYC swatched and all that good stuff. You can read about my experience here and here .
I didn’t go completely ape at the Inglot booth (well more like a huge boutique set up in the Metropolitan Pavillion) but I did get a couple lipsticks that caught my eye. Actually one was featured in Allure (May 2011 issue) and I knew then I needed to cop.

You’d have to be literally sleeping under your train case if you haven’t heard of the infamous Inglot brand. Known for their freedom palettes, awesome color pay off and reasonable prices- I can’t get enough!

As we know, our pal Lady Gaga signed on for another year for M.A.C’s Viva Glam campaign… You know, the lipsticks and glosses that benefit AIDS by contributing every single cent of profit to M.A.C’s AIDS fund.
Last year, the Gaga color was a pretty shade of pink, and something we adored, very fitting of Lady Gaga.This year… she’s stepped away from the girlie pink and into the nude world. Wet n Wild has come quite a way, in my humble opinion. For the price of half of a latte at Starbucks ($3) you can get some really pigmented, creamy lipsticks. Their packaging has significantly improved and the color range is pretty good.

I would definitely recommend grabbing a couple. Hey if you hate it, $3 isn’t like spending $34 on YSL. I was actually wearing 911D in some of the pics here, the ones with red lipstick.
Here are some other products definitely worth a look. Most are $6 or less and as always check the Sunday paper before you saunter off , most drug stores have the products on promo every so often.
The much anticipated Make Up Forever lipsticks have finally landed in Sephora stores. With 50 shades in the line up they pack 50 percent more pigment and come in 3 finishes, satin pearl, matte.

These are real serious kids. I wore the dark purple one the other day and didn’t even need to touch up after my lean cuisine!
But wait. It gets better. So Dany Sanz (creator of MUFE) and her team are geniuses. They came up with this color wheel. So you spin it to your color of hair and your skin tone (also HD range of foundation) and BAM. It gives you suggestions of your perfect shades of nudes, reds and pinks. I DIE!
