Lipstick Fashion Mascara

Inglot continues to widen its assortment. Over the last year the range of colors and finishes has grown exponentially. I guess the new year will bring more where that came from. Inglot has added five new shades to their already vast lipstick collection. Sadly, I want them all.

The formulation includes apricot kernel and vitamin E to keep the lips moisturized and protected. They are priced at $12 and available at all Inglot boutiques.

On September 8th  New York Fashion Week gets underway, and wouldn’t be the same without Fashion’s Night Out……..For the third year folks who enjoy fashion, beauty and just like a reason to have fun ,roam the streets of NYC…store to store, cobblestone to sidewalk. Since it’s huge success in NYC many other cities partake in the festivities.

Inglot of course will be in on the action. Miami, Las Vegas, New Jersey and Cali and of course New York will host events…. And looks like there is a beauty treat with purchase…. Will I see you on Fashion’s Night Out ?

My Saturday was fun filled with lots of exploring and checking some scenes in NYC. But my first stop was Inglot. Carpe Diem! Slowly but surely getting everything I purchased at the Makeup Show NYC swatched and all that good stuff. You can read about my experience here and here .

I didn’t go completely ape at the Inglot booth (well more like a huge boutique set up in the Metropolitan Pavillion) but I did get a couple lipsticks that caught my eye. Actually one was featured in Allure (May 2011 issue) and I knew then I needed to cop.

The time finally came and went! IMATS ascended down onto the Big Apple, for the first time ever. I attended yesterday (Sunday) with my pal Danielle. 

We arrived right at the beginning of the day, and I more or less walked around to kind of take it all in. It was spread out on two floors at 82 Mercer down in Soho. The first floor seemed to be more so for education and seminars- great because it gets hard to hear when you have the retail and seminars in close proximity.

Then our buddies Nik, Erin of Scandalous Beauty, and Warren Beautiful joined us. The show for us New Yorkers seemed to be on a smaller scale than the IMATS L.A. , I can’t say for certain as I have never been to to the one in Los Angeles. Nonetheless, some of the favorites were in the building; Inglot, Stila, Eve Pearl, Alcone, Zuca, Jane Iredale, Yaby, Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics (OCC) and several other brands.

I wanted to hit up Inglot to grab some more nail polishes and some complexion items, however, the line was BANANAS!!!! Everyone wanted in on their infamous freedom palettes. We do have a store here in NYC, so I can always slither over there.

I got a chance to chat with Eve Pearl, who is a DOLL! Seriously if you are ever in the NYC check out her boutique. She showed me her new liquid HD foundation and feels NICE, nearly weightless. She gave me some to try so don’t worry, I will give you all my thoughts on it. She had women lined up for make overs and onlookers watched as her and her team created magic.

Alcone, a makeup artists supply store ,also in the city, had kit essentials and I managed to snag some of their sponges, Erin has a video using them and I can’t wait to try! OCC ,known for their lip tars, had quite a puzz going on. I got a nail polish in “Swamp thing” and a lip tar in “Katricia”- pics and swatches will come in a separate post.

I snagged some other things for my professional kit, one being a “Beauty so Clean” brush cleaner. This sanitizes your brushes on the go without the use of harmful chemicals. I wanted some things from Inglot but there was a slight chance that I could still be standing there in line- I guess the early bird gets the  worm   eyeshadow.

Ok ok here are pics! I did a short video with Eve and I will be including that in a seperate post. I also did include a vid of me on the train headed to Soho- I got an error message when just trying to upload to youtube, so expect that later this week.My battery was dying – AS IF so I had  to be selective when using my camera, throughout the show,lol.

I also just realized that I exceeded the limit for photos on wordpress, I will upload more photos in another post for Tuesday!

I wish I could have met some more of my twitter pals! At any rate it is always good to be amongst other make up enthusiasts!

It’s been a minute since I have ventured into the Inglot store here in NYC. Part of the reason is, it’s located in Times Square. Times Square is crawling with tourists staring at buildings and taking pictures. It would be ok if I wasn’t trying to get to a destination.lol.
Anywho, I decided I would get myself a few new lip colors. AS IF I need another lipstick. I really like that I can build my own palette, and I actually like being able to apply it with precision, with a brush. Only bad part about this post is that I can’t remember what the actual numbers of the colors are. If you guys really want to know, let me know in the comments, the next time I go in I will get that info for you all.

I kept my obsession in check and grabbed 3 colors, which cost me 16 smackaroos.

I love the texture of these bad boys! As you can see they are extremely pigmented and a little goes a long way. For those of you attending IMATS next month make sure you check out Inglot. You can build your own palette to your  liking. It’s also great for make-up artists who want custom palettes.

The only store in the U.S. is in New York City, Times Square….Finally all us Americans can purchase! They will also be at the Make up shows this year in L.A. and NYC…  Here is my post about my experience at Inglot.
I haven’t forgotten about taking pictures using the colors I bought…however I just got my camera back from Fuji. The poor thing had swine flu or something.
