Lipstick Fashion Mascara

I should be ashamed of myself for my lack of posts. However, I haven’t been quite centered as of late, so bear with. Last Saturday I had the opportunity to mosey to the Caravan Stylist Studios for Lianne Farbe’s Cocktails and Couture party. Lianne hosts this event twice a year during New York Fashion Week.

It brings together bloggers, makeup artists, stylists and fashion connoisseurs  from various playing fields. I look forward to it every season. I get to see many people who I interact with via social media, but rarely have the opportunity to kick it with them. The space was cute, nestled in NYC’s fashion district.

I hope that today is bringing you plenty of rest and relaxation. Last week was very long, I started at a different location for work and it had me so nervous and excited;both left me completely exhausted by Friday. It snowed here on Saturday, forcing me to stay in and chill. I so needed that! The challenge has been to not completely drain my checking account, shopping online. I haven’t been posting regularly as I’d like. Between demands of the job and a few personal things I really couldn’t focus! Have you ever felt that way? Today will also be a day where I will indulge in cat naps all day, so I hope to be back to blogging on Monday. I have managed to read some really great posts in the meantime…Check em’ out below!

Philosophy is one of those lines that you can usually find a gift for any gal at any time of the year. They have special packaging for birthday gifts, brides to be and so on.

Christmas time is when I really fall in love with Philosophy. I have never been a fan of bath products that smell like food- desserts, drinks, etc. Nothing wrong with said items, it has just never been my thing.  Every holiday I make an exception for two of my favorites. The brand releases it’s Gingerbread Man  and Candy Cane products.

I’m completely obsessed with both. In fact over the course of 2011 I have made a jar of  Gingerbread Man scrub stretch until this month. Sad, but true. The scrub exfoliates like dream! The scent is dreamy! It immediately puts me in a happy place, sparks nostalgia.

The Candy Cane scents are extremely invigorating. December,and winter in general,many times lends itself to stuffy noses and congestion…I find after a shower with these products my sinuses are open. Think of it as Vick’s vapor rub- sans the medicinal scent. Dragging out of bed? Shower with this, it also gives me a pep in my step if I didn’t get my proper rest.

While I wish that I get my mitts on these year round, these really do make the holiday special. When you see them on shelves you know holiday is right around the corner.If you love them,stock up!

Don’t cry for us Argentina! We actually didn’t spend our whole holiday at 711. We went to a buffet and when nuts on all kinds of hot eats and cool treats. My family is over 600 miles away and getting home this time of year doesn’t jive for work.

We stopped at 7 Eleven for coffee. Check out our foolery. Hope you guys are enjoyed the holiday!

I hope that you all are enjoying time with your family and friends! I will be heading to Long Island after while for some eats. Today I’m thankful for my wonderful apartment here in NYC. My job, and my cat- Muffy (who thinks she is human). My family who continues to be my cheerleaders and encourage me to want more for myself. My awesome friends who are an extension of my family. Finally I am thankful for those of you who take time from your day to read my blog.

I’m back like I forgot something! Took couple days off from writing this week, I had some sleep deprivation struggles. Needless to say my weekend was cool.
