If you have followed me on all my social networks, you are very much aware of my weight loss struggles.
I didn’t lose what I wanted to lose during the #great48 challenge; in fact as of last weekend I am giving the scale a break. It just ticks me off. When I get mad I get irrational; God knows I don’t want to pay for the window I may send said scale flying through.
The #great48 challenge did inspire me to do better about eating and staying active. I pack my lunch every single day for work now. Nearly every morning I use my nutribullet to make healthy smoothies that provide nutrients I wouldn’t otherwise take in through out the day.
After two years of not being the gym, I joined Lucille Roberts (I don’t have a preference,but it is women only). My good friend I’ve known since the 6th grade had provided me with DVDs of Jillian Michaels, P90x, Jeanette Jenkins and a host of other things that help me get my butt in gear. I am currently on week 2 of Jillian Michael’s 30 day shred.
Outside of not getting mad as hell for allowing this blubber to pile on (again), I for the most part, try to enjoy workouts. I think I’m going to start spinning, I did it regularly some years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s one of the ways I know for sure I will see results.
This transformation will not happen overnight, but doggone it I’m committed. This means I will have to occasionally turn down dinner or lunch with friends-until I find a happy medium.
