I hoped to update you guys weekly. I also hoped that I’d be down about 10 lbs by now.
Shoulda. Coulda. Woulda.
The reality is that I’m only down about 4 lbs. Getting into a routine and not eating like a bear is very hard. My hours at work are one extreme to the next. Then I get home and snack, and write at the computer. No bueno.
Self-control can completely make or break, ANYTHING. I’m learning to make better decisions at the grocery store and actually take time to prep my lunches, snacks and the whole nine for work. It is actually saving me coins; eating lunch everyday in Manhattan, occasionally meeting my girls for dinner and drinks can put quite a dent in my checking account. Leaving me chubby and broke.
I have been managing to hit the gym 2-3 times a week; but that needs to increase to 4-5 and I am committing to going harder with my workouts.
I surely won’t be at even half of my goal by the end of the #great48 challenge; but this has really helped. The accountability piece alone has been paramount! If I can’t instagram what I’m eating, I try to avoid it- for fear of embarrassment and moreover, not keeping my word.
Here’s to hoping my next update is more and the up and up….or wait, more on the down and down- in pounds that is.
